Wave Shadow

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Tiny, perfectly clean, but barely surfable waves today. The winds were very light until mid-afternoon again, but it appears that there is a slight increase in the swell. Some amazing light passing through the waves, leaving a wave shadow on the banks as they broke – very high visibility today. Enjoy – Levi

Change from the south

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Tiny swell today – was smooth until midday. The southerly change came through by mid-afternoon to cool things off, unfortunately no swell came with it. Looks like we could be getting some waves early next week. Keep ya fingers crossed. Enjoy – Levi

Another amazing morning of glassy conditions, with light off-shore winds & about 3ft of swell on the open beaches. The low tide made for some hollow, but quick waves. Dolphins in the waves, amazing water colour and temperature, how could you resist having a surf today! The swell has dropped a little from yesterday, but still sticking around enough to get some reasonable rides. Light east winds throughout the day ruffled the waves, but didn’t destroy there form. Enjoy – Levi

Sunday Fun

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

What a great day in the water! The wind was light all day & there was a nice even 2-3ft north swell running down the beach. If you picked the right tide you were up for some barrel action, otherwise you might have just got a few nice carves in. Hope you enjoyed the day […]
