Wow – another gorgeous day & waves to back it! Was great to have the swell pick up and push in solidly at around 4ft. The winds were so faint through out the day, which made for some great conditions. Looks like Sean & Sean were having a good time in the water this afternoon, [...]

What a beautiful morning to take a walk on the beach. The sunrise was rich this morning, with some very light onshore winds blowing. The waves that came up yesterday were bouncing around on the shore this morning, not showing a lot of form, but were very nicely lit. Great to see the sunshine after [...]

Today has been a great day to relax and wait for the swell to smooth out, after the north bump that’s been affecting things. The waves were about 2-3ft and little bit chopped up, but it was nice to have the wind drop right off again. A few guys were out there this afternoon & [...]

The corner of the beach held the swell & the crowd, who were so keen for a little wave action. Looks like the swell is starting to come in and the wind is still blowing a bit from the north east. If you were clever or had a little luck you might have gotten a [...]

What a fantastic morning! The waves are still pretty small, but at least there are some reasonable rides, with a few small barrels thrown in. This morning had nice off shore winds, peaky north swell and was not too crowded early. The wind seems to be swinging to the north but is only fairly light. [...]

It was a blindingly beautiful afternoon at the beach, and not just because of all the sand flying into ya eyes either! The swell was slightly bigger then yesterday, and more from the north. There were some good fun little waves. Hope that you had a great day in the waves, somewhere outta the wind. [...]

What a beautiful morning, light off shore, incredible light and smooth 2ft walls to ride. The afternoon saw some swell coming in and a bit of wind from the east south east. Hope you had a great day & were able to dip ya feet in the water today. Enjoy – Levi [singlepic id=727 w=720 [...]

Only small waves this morning on high tide on the open beaches, but light off shore winds till about 9. If you were able to find a semi-sheltered spot from the south east wind that picked up, you might have gotten something nice to ride for the mid-morning session. Looks like the swell is going [...]
Friday, October 16th, 2009
What started off as small and glassy turned out to be a good size. The open beaches were picking up about 3ft of swell and some spots even up to 4ft. The winds were, as predicted, off shore through the morning and didn’t pick up from the south east until about 12. It was nice [...]

This morning the waves were only pretty small, but if you chose the right craft for the day you would have had so much fun. Today was a great day for trying out something with a little more meat in it… It was only about 1-2ft on the open beaches & winds were great in [...]

What a nice afternoon for peaky shore breaks. The morning started out a bit messy with strong NW winds, but by late afternoon it swung straight west & cleaned up the little bit of north swell that’s still lingering. Great waves shared right down the beach. Enjoy – Levi [singlepic id=685 w=720 h=580 float=center] [singlepic [...]

The north winds that have been blowing solidly continued over night and throughout the day. This was good for picking up some north swell. The morning bumps turned into surfable lumps by the afternoon. Was great to watch the world’s best destroying the waves today. Enjoy – Levi [singlepic id=679 w=720 h=580 float=center]

Another great day to be enjoying the full force of the ocean. The wind was very light and off shore early this morning, but picked up to a gusty 15 knots plus by the afternoon. Regardless of the wind, there were still some heaving waves in the northern corner. The swell seems to be pushing [...]

The Bay was firing up today with some nice fresh south swell that arrived over night. The winds were pretty strong from the south, which made some of the waves open up a little bit. It was a good 3ft through the middle of the day, but looked like it was backing off this afternoon. [...]

What a great morning to wake up to! Barrels and more barrels – some of them were pretty round. At 3-4ft and off-shore, who’s complaining – Not me . The winds been blowing pretty solidly from the south east all afternoon and there’s a prediction for a lot more swell. Have to see what tomorrow [...]

Yes there were some good waves this morning, but you had to be out before the northerly started up. The swell was around the same size as yesterday afternoon, about 3-4ft in the good spots with the occasional bigger set. Hope you could get amongst it today. Enjoy – Levi [singlepic id=627 w=720 h=580 float=center]

Yes, it was a fantastic day for taking it real easy in The Bay. Some fun little waves were being ridden by young n old on all kinds of boards. The swell is still around 4-5ft on the open beaches and winds were from the south east around mid-morning. Hope you’ve had a good day [...]
Sunday, October 4th, 2009
It started out a bit grey, but what a burst of blue through the middle of the afternoon. The waves in the bay were very small, but quite fun especially if you had a board with some volume. Plenty of swell on the open beaches, but just a bit of wind from the south east. [...]

What a fantastic day to be soaking up the sun at the beach. If you’re very good with little waves, Friday was the day for you to work your magic. The water was fantastically clear and the day had a very summery feel to it. Hope we’ll be getting more swell soon. Enjoy – Levi [...]
