Day of Perfection

Monday, August 31st, 2009

This was one of those days!  2-3ft north swell and strong off-shore winds all day!! It definitely made a few heads turn. There were epic little waves all along the coast. Hope you were able to get amongst it. Enjoy! Levi

Very Cosy Corner

Friday, August 28th, 2009

What a beautiful day! Great conditions for hanging at the beach n getting a bit of a winter tan. The swell is about 2ft and coming from the north, wind is hardly affecting the waves and the water is starting to warm up. Some nice banks in the corner. Great just to sit around and […]

Wide Open Spaces

Monday, August 24th, 2009

What a beautiful beach & place to visit. There were a few guys surfing it earlier in the day, but the swell was even smaller with the north west winds kinda keeping it out to sea. Not a sole on this beach this afternoon and the waves looked like they were picking up. Was an […]

Little Ones At Tallows

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

Strong north winds have been blowing all weekend, but the swell hasn’t picked up yet. Only really small waves at Tallows and maybe a couple other northern corners. Despite the lack of size, it was good for some – a few kids were in the corner & Garret was making something outta nothing, as only […]

In the Corner

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Well, here comes the northerly wind again! Just when ya thought it was going to go off shore for months. That’s ok, cos there’s still some protected corners to hide in. The swell wasn’t too bad, around 3ft and the banks are looking pretty reasonable too. A few guys and girls tearing it up again […]

Bay of Light

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

Today was the end of a great spell of summer in winter ~ the wind came up early this morning from the south east and brought some coolness for a change. It looks like its going to bring some fresh swell too. This afternoon gave a few options for surfing on the open beaches, but […]

Low-Light Tallows

Monday, August 17th, 2009

This must have been one of the warmest days in winter ~ north winds blowing for a lot of the day, but a glass off in the evening gave way to a few shore breaks at Tallows. A few guys getting amongst the 2 foot slam session. Good to see n participate in. It was […]

Northern Corners

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

Just when you thought the weather was more like spring then winter ~ today could have been more like Summer! It was amazing.. Good strong north swell n long lines. The North Easters picked up pretty early, but still there were some waves in the Northern Corners & fun waves they were. Hope you all […]

Friday, August 14th, 2009

What a spectacular day at the beach today. There was some nice off-shore winds in the morning, just holding up those barrels nicely & although the swell has backed off, there were still plenty of good waves n surfing to be had. Boulders was breaking pretty nicely on the set & was fairly shelter from […]

Uncrowded Peaks

Monday, August 10th, 2009

Surf was pumping at this place, don’t know where you guys were! Only saw one guy out & it was about 5-6ft, clean and big long walls, even barreling if you were in the right spot. The northerly winds kicked in this afternoon, making it a little tricky, but there were some great waves to […]

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Today was one of those days! Magnificent ~ Turquoise Jelly water.. Absolutely amazing conditions. The swell is still kinda small, about 2ft on the open beaches, but a few guys were still destroying it. So happy ~ Enjoy! Levi

Byron Beauty

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

What an amazing afternoon to be at the beach, especially if you found a spot where the setting sun was lighting up the silky faced waves. It might not have been big today, but it was beautiful. So good to be alive and surfing! The swell was only about 1ft in the Bay, and 2-3ft […]

Lennox Beachies

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

The beachies at Lennox were about the best spot to be found surfing this afternoon. With swell backing off again from yesterday and a light northerly starting to blowing this afternoon, its a good idea to get in while there’s still something around. Good news is that there’s more swell coming. Good to see the […]

Wategoes Evening Shift

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

The swell leveled out today n after checking From Suffolk to North Wall Ballina, the best waves were probably at the first place I looked. Good banks were needed to deal with a kinda soft 2-3ft swell and light off-shore breeze. Wategoes was catching the light and the swell nicely this afternoon. The end of […]
